I used to think I knew the Bible.
I grew up in the church. I read the texts. I knew the stories. But when I started interviewing persecuted Christians as a journalist, something shifted.
I sat across from survivors of a church bombing. People who had lost everything for their faith. Yet, they were ‘Bible illiterate’, my team told me.
“What does that mean?,” I asked.
“It means they don’t know the Jesus for whom they are persecuted.”
And I realized: do we really know the Jesus of the Bible? Do I?
That conversation changed the direction of my life.
I went home and opened my Bible. Not to prepare a lesson or find a quote. Just to read.
And I discovered how little I actually knew.
The Bible is one story…
…from Genesis to Revelation, but I had never seen it that way. I had fragments. Familiar passages. Sunday school memories. But not the whole picture.
So I started over. I read slowly. I asked questions. I looked for the thread that runs through every book. And the more I read, the more I understood — and the more I believed.
That process took years. But it didn’t have to.
I started this platform because I believe every Christian deserves a guide through God’s Word. Not someone who makes it more complicated, but someone who helps you see the big picture. The context. The story.
